As part of efforts to strengthen the role of youth in peacebuilding and public policy development, the #Muraas_Organization, in cooperation with the Benghazi Community Partnership and the Vision Training and Consulting Center, organized a specialized workshop on UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security on Monday, July 27, 2026.
The workshop was led by international trainer Dr. Maan Al-Shamaila, a consultant and trainer specializing in the Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) agenda, and founder of the Middle East and North Africa Regional Coalition for Youth, Peace and Security (MENA4YPS). Dr. Al-Shamaila is a leading expert contributing to international efforts to develop and implement UN Security Council Resolution 2250.
The workshop addressed the main themes of the resolution and its importance in promoting meaningful youth participation in peacebuilding, conflict prevention, and community security. It also reviewed practical mechanisms for empowering youth to contribute to governance and public policy development at both the national and international levels.
